Full Job Description
The role

The Foreign Military Sales Lead drives Tagup's growth with allied and partner nations through the Foreign Military Sales system. You will identify and shape Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) opportunities in logistics, sustainment, fleet readiness, and maintenance, and move them from partner-nation need to funded program. The work runs across U.S. government stakeholders, security cooperation channels, and international customers. You will work directly with our founders and leadership team, and you will build this function from the ground up.
What you will do
  • Own Tagup's FMS growth strategy: opportunity identification, capture planning, and proposal support.
  • Build and manage a qualified FMS and DCS pipeline across partner nations, U.S. government program offices, security cooperation channels, and industry partners.
  • Shape opportunities end to end: requirements definition, stakeholder mapping, acquisition strategy, teaming, pricing inputs, and proposals.
  • Match partner-nation logistics, sustainment, and readiness needs to Tagup's platform, and translate them into executable program plans.
  • Work with product, engineering, finance, and legal to align capabilities, delivery models, security requirements, and export controls with each case.
  • Produce the customer-facing materials that carry the work: briefings, white papers, capability statements, and partner-country value propositions.
  • Track FMS cases, funding pathways, and partner-nation priorities, and keep pipeline forecasts and reporting current.
  • Represent Tagup at international defense events, security cooperation forums, and partner meetings.
What you bring
  • 10+ years in defense business development, FMS, security cooperation, international defense sales, capture, or acquisition.
  • A working command of the FMS process and the U.S. security cooperation system, with direct experience engaging international defense customers.
  • Experience coordinating across U.S. government stakeholders, program offices, primes, integrators, and partner-nation customers.
  • The ability to translate partner-nation operational needs into acquisition strategies and executable program plans.
  • Working knowledge of defense logistics, sustainment, readiness, or maintenance domains.
  • Excellent writing and executive presence; you can brief a partner-nation ministry of defense and a U.S. program office with equal command.
  • Comfort running multiple pursuits in parallel in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-stage environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • BA/BS required; advanced degree a plus.
Compensation and benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $185,000 annually, set against experience and qualifications.
