Principle Duties and Responsibilities- Analyses and translates high level requirements and applicable standards into electrical design requirements
- Liaise with other disciplines to understand functional performance capabilities of components of the system to facilitate effective electrical design
- Designs and implements electrical designs to meet requirements including their testability
- Develops and reviews electrical tests that will provide evidence to demonstrate that the electrical requirements have been satisfied
- Analyses verification test results against electrical requirement; produces reports and associated documentation
- Manages testing at third-party test house(s)
- Supports system level testing at our facility and in the field
- Supports operations / supply chain as well as quality to address product related technical deficiencies
- Supports transformation and improvement projects as agreed with the engineering and business leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements- A recognized electrical engineering degree and license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a P. Eng.
- Work experience of at least 5 years, preferably in the electrical field
- Proficiency in English with a high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, HMI), and CAD software would be advantageous
- Must be Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada for greater than 5 years.
- Able to obtain NATO security clearance (Secret Level) through Canadian Contract Security Program.
