This role involves the full lifecycle of system development from requirements formulation through testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based applications for test, measurement, and data acquisition systems
- Develop and optimize code for LabVIEW FPGA targets, timing logic, and hardware interfacing
- Develop and deploy applications on LabVIEW Real-Time targets (e.g., NI CompactRIO, PXI Real-Time controllers)
- Formulate test system requirements and translate them into functional software architectures
- Integrate hardware and software components into complete test and data acquisition solutions
- Perform integration, and system-level testing to validate performance and functionality
- Deploy and maintain fielded systems, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Develop and maintain clear and thorough technical documentation, including design documents, test procedures, and user guides
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to define and meet system requirements
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews
Technical Skills- Demonstrated hands-on experience with LabVIEW application development (professional or academic).
- Proficiency in data acquisition (DAQ) concepts: analog/digital I/O, signal conditioning, timing, and synchronization.
- Experience with NI hardware platforms (e.g., DAQmx, CompactRIO, PXI, myRIO).
- Familiarity with software development best practices: version control, modular design, code documentation.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills Shape.
Highly Desired Qualifications (Not Required) - Experience with LabVIEW FPGA development, including:
- Timing constraints and resource management
- FPGA VI design and optimization
- Host-to-FPGA communication (DMA FIFOs, interrupts)
- Experience with LabVIEW Real-Time development, including:
- Deterministic loop structures and timing
- Deployment and configuration of RT targets
- Fault and error handling
- Experience with GUI development focused on optimizing control and operation of integrated data acquisition systems
