The
Fleet and Equipment Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of fleet assets, equipment, and related corporate services. This role supports the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of vehicles, tools, and equipment across the organization.
This position helps ensure strong asset control, reliable equipment availability, maintenance coordination, and effective fleet management practices that support business performance and operational continuity. The
Fleet and Equipment Manager acts as a trusted partner to operational and leadership teams, balancing day-to-day oversight with strategic planning for asset utilization, lifecycle management, and service reliability
Under the general direction, the
Fleet & Equipment Manager organizes,monitors, and ensures complianceofequipment and fleet operations for AFL Constructions.
Responsibilities- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and reviewthe work of staff in the fleet department
- Recommends hiring, promotion,disciplineand other
- Establishes specificgoals,objects, and policiesfor the management of the AFLCS' vehicle fleet to include maintenance,cleanlinessand safety
- Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
- Makes strategic short and long-term plans for resource requirements
- Provide support to the construction's teamregardingall equipment related issues
- Develops and coordinates training tothe employeesin motor vehicle operations,maintenanceand safety
- Monitors vehicle gas consumption, maintenance, registrations, and accident costs
- Selects vendors and appropriatelymaintainsvendor relationships, which includes management of suppliers for fleet repair
- Identifyand monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs
- Performs other related duties asrequired

Qualifications- 3+yearsof proven experience in asset management
- Experience in fleet, equipment or operations management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook,PowerPointand Visio
- Ability to travel to various site-based projects ifrequired
Working Conditions- General hours of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 6:00 pm - but must be flexible to work shifts including evenings and weekend
