Full Job Description
Purpose of Position

The Fleet Engineer, Senior serves as the primary technical authority for evaluating, creating, and approving minor repairs and modifications on NetJets fleet aircraft. This role ensures compliance with Part 23, 25, 43, 135 and other applicable regulations, provides real-time engineering support for maintenance operations, and acts as a critical link between internal teams and external maintenance providers to keep our aircraft operating safely and efficiently.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Analyze repair and modification requests to determine if it is a major or minor change per 14 CFR requirements.
  • Design, document, and approve minor repair and modifications; escalating major repairs as required.
  • Apply approved data and methods in the development of engineering documentation for repairs and modifications.
  • Maintain compliance with Part 23, 25, 43, 135 and other applicable regulations and internal company standards.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation for all approved repairs and modifications.
  • Perform real-time troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Interface with Maintenance Control, Flight Operations, Technical Services, On-site Maintenance Representatives, and Flight Crews.
  • Collaborate with external MRO facilities worldwide to ensure timely and compliant repairs.
  • Track and report project status to ensure adherence to timelines and compliance standards.
  • Support integration of repairs and modifications for new and existing fleet aircraft.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members of lessor experience.
  • Seek opportunity to make ongoing process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
  • Prioritize aircraft and occupant safety as the most important goal.

Bachelor's in Engineering or related field

  • Excellent understanding of aircraft drawings, manuals, and other published aircraft design data.
  • A&P preferred but not required.
