Annual Salary: $91,500 - $130,000 DOE
PositionFlammability and Material & Process engineering will ensure products/processes comply with FAR 25 flammability and mechanical properties requirements. The individual will review engineering designs, material & process specifications, and customer requirements to develop flammability substantiation data to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Also, responsible for verifying and reporting TSCA/Reach/RoHS, etc. compliance. Assist test lab personnel with flammability, mechanical, and process development test activities.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities include:- Review all engineering drawings to consider Flammability and Process requirements
- Develop qualification and flammability tests and substantiation plans
- Coordinate with flammability DERs for document approvals and testing activities
- Coordinate and manage all flammability substantiation and certification activities for multiple programs
- Develop new or update existing manufacturing processes and material specifications
- Managing obsolescence of materials or qualification of new material
- Coordinate with engineering and production for any process updates or new qualifications required
- Work with the customer or regulatory agency in compliance with TSCA/Reach/RoHS, etc. compliance
- Assist Quality Assurance for any process control testing support required, and aid in the management of statistical process control data analysis
Preferred Qualification:Knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and regulatory (FAA) flammability requirements & regulations, Aerospace Certification, Material & Process specifications
Minimum of 1 year of Aerospace Flammability, Material & Process Engineering, Certification (or equivalent) experience
Education:Bachelor in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Computer Skills:Basic Microsoft Office Suite
