OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:Manages both shifts of the centralized Fixed Crew, located at the Sherman St. facility. Assists when assigned with offsite training. Responsible for achieving department goals.
Work Schedule: 5 days a week, may include weekends.
Annual Salary: $76,981-$91,520 per year
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions Statement(s):- Oversees and provides support, coaching, and direction to all Fixed Crew ambassadors.
Ensures management team is providing clear/effective direction. - Responsible for achieving department goals and objectives
- Ensures all department administrative tasks are completed, accurately and in a timely
manner - Approves payroll according to all laws and regulation.
- Ensures all departmental training, to include; new staff training, safety training, huddles and
any other assigned training is completed and all accompanying documentation is completed
and filed. - Ensures the accurate tracking and disbursement of product. Making sure appropriate
communication with all applicable sites and Dispatch occurs. - Communicates product volume, quality and space needs in conjunction with the Clearance
Center to the Director of Donations and Transportation. - Monitors and verifies that quality standards are met and the department is following all
guidelines set forth in the Fixed Crew Training Manual. As necessary assists with updating
the Fixed Crew Training Manual. - Responsible for the safe and efficient organization of the Sherman St. warehouse. Works in
conjunction with the Transportation department to keep the warehouse in functioning order. - Responsible to ensure adequate staffing for the department. Coordinates product movement
as scheduled - Follows all safety rules and regulations and performs all assigned duties in a safe manner
according to all company safety guidelines and ensures others do the same. - Assists with new site openings and production needs. May be assigned to transport crews to
assist in production needs at off-site locations. - Assists with all department planning and budgeting.
- Ensures the upkeep and maintenance of assigned site, and keeping work stations in line with
the Kaizen Philosophy. - Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned or directed.
QualificationsSKILLS & ABILITIES:Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associates Degree or 2 years college or technical school preferred.
Experience: Two years similar supervisory experience required, 3 - 4 years preferred.
Computer Skills: Email, MS Word, and MS Excel
Certificates & Licenses: Valid CA Driver's License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company's standards. Ability to become forklift certified required.
Other Requirements: Ability to recognize name brand clothing and high quality merchandise preferred
