Must-Have:

Completion of required clinical experience during the education process.
Possess manual dexterity for assisting skills.
Ability to work irregular hours.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to foster good working relationships with other departments and staff members.

Description:
Provides assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures.
Assists with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, tying, tissue manipulation, closing wounds, and applying dressings.
Collaborates with the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of patients during surgical procedures.
Facilitates communication between the surgeon, perioperative team, and other departments.
Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices and procedures related to the care of surgical patients.
Effectively interacts with patients and customers, understanding their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Ability to perform heavy physical demands including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
Required to stand and walk for extended periods.
Occasional carrying, climbing of stairs, and exposure to dust, fumes, or gas.
On-call required: 1 day every week or every other week, every 5th or 6th weekend.
