Relative Dynamics is developing free-space optical communication internet terminals for high-altitude platforms and Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) spacecraft. Our mission is to enable commercial world-wide internet access.
As a Firmware Engineer, you are part of a cross-functional team developing optical terminal hardware. This position requires a background in digital signal processing (DSP) and communication theory.
What You'll Get to Do: Responsibilities: - Close collaboration with optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers to define free-space optical communication system requirements and solutions.
- Develop algorithms, code and hardware and firmware for RDI IRAD and SBIR projects.
- The ideal candidate will have experience leading or contributing to multiple product development efforts, projects, and initiatives.
What You'll Need: Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering, or relevant field and/or experience.
- 5+ years experience working in firmware design.
- C++, VHDL, Verilog, • bare metal• expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired: - Communication system experience.
