Fires Systems Subject Matter Expert
The Opportunity:
As a Fires Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll bring your leadership, strategic, tactical, technical, DOTMLPF, MDMP, JCIDS, and high combatant command expertise to work alongside thought leaders in C2, cyber, digital, engineering, science, and analytics. You'll use your skills and expertise as you research, develop, analyze, assess, plan, and support Battle Management and the Defense Technology Group.

Work with us to help solve, identify, analyze, evaluate, and integrate C2 system modernization and next-generation targeting and Fires digital ecosystems for U.S. Army and Joint warfighting mission areas.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience gathering and synchronizing unit requirements and coordinating operational testing metrics for C2 Applications and systems capability development for Fires, Targeting, and Airspace Management, including AFATDS, AXS, JADOCS, JTIC2S, or TAIS mission areas, streamlining dataflow between echelons and eliminating latencies for decision advantage
  • Experience developing and presenting clear, executive-level briefs on system performance, capability gaps, and mission readiness to senior leaders
  • Knowledge of data governance lifecycles, systemic data integrity, and compliance standards within Army or DoD networks
  • Ability to manage, refine, and maintain technical configuration documentation and digital SOPs for tactical systems while leveraging basic SQL for data management and utilizing the Microsoft Office suite to produce project deliverables
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Scrum Master Certification


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience deploying long-range networked fires capabilities or next-generation targeting platforms
  • Experience working with defense contracting teams supporting U.S. Army Fires modernization
  • Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity architectures, secure information processes, and network infrastructure baselines
  • Ability to mentor and train personnel on specialized C2 system operations and digital workflow compliance
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cloud+, CySA+, or CASP+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
