What You Will Do:

  • As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts. You will work as part of a client-facing team, contributing to one or more workstreams and collaborating closely with project leadership to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete workstreams and producing high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables

  • Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations

  • Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials

  • Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates

  • Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks

  • Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements

  • Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting

  • Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas:

  • Operational risk and/or large bank compliance

  • Banking regulations and compliance

  • Risk and controls assessments, including process mapping

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience developing client-ready deliverables

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams

  • Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City plus travel as needed


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Prior experience in management consulting

  • Exposure to Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs)

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP)

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS in a related field)

The annual salary range for this position is $107,000.00-$178,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
