Full Job Description
Soni is partnering with an ever-growing client on the search for a Financial Reporting Manager.

The Financial Reporting Manager leads financial reporting, consolidation, divisional accounting, and close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies. The role partners with Finance and operational leaders to deliver actionable financial insights while driving finance transformation, process improvement, automation, and SAP S/4HANA optimization to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and support scalable growth.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting, Consolidation & Close

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.

  • Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, divisional and wholesale financial results, and management reporting packages.

  • Review financial results, account balances, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, estimates, and significant adjustments to ensure balance sheet integrity and appropriate accounting treatment.

  • Analyze financial results and variances, identify trends and issues, and provide meaningful insights to Finance and operational leaders.

  • Establish and monitor close timelines and coordinate with accounting teams to resolve issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and internal control requirements.


Audit, Compliance & Technical Accounting

  • Coordinate interim and annual external audits, including preparation and review of audit schedules and supporting documentation and resolution of auditor inquiries.

  • Research technical accounting matters and assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Support implementation of new accounting guidance and continuously strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Leadership, Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Reporting team by establishing goals, providing coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting career development and succession planning.

  • Lead and support finance transformation initiatives, including product division implementations, inventory reporting and reconciliations, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA and related reporting technologies.

  • Drive process standardization, automation, master data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, data quality, controls, and scalability.

  • Partner with Finance, Information Technology, and cross-functional teams on ERP implementations, system enhancements, reporting tools, dashboards, analytics, and process improvements.


Cross-Functional & Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate with AR, AP, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to improve financial processes, reporting, and business decision-making.

  • Participate in strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and other special projects, providing accounting and financial reporting expertise.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support senior leadership and organizational priorities.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.

  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience; public accounting experience preferred.

  • Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.

  • Experience in retail and/or wholesale accounting environments preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and computerized accounting systems.

  • Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading process improvement, automation, systems implementation, or finance transformation initiatives preferred.

Compensation: $155,000 - $165,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
