Recruitment, Relocation, and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized. 2026 Salary Range: $89,508-$138,370 Yearly Job Open Date: 07/09/2026 Job Close Date: 07/16/2026 Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens In this position you will serve as a Financial Management Specialist providing financial management functions within the Civilian Pay section involving the formulation, justification, and/or execution for the Civilian Payroll Program for all organizations on the installation. This work requires the knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies precedents, methods and techniques of financial management. The incumbent has responsibility for managing and/or participating in planning, directing, integrating, and executing all aspects of assigned programs. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Obtain & maintain a Security clearance Must safeguard classified or sensitive financial-related information and/or files. The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1559d. Incumbent shall comply with requirements of this certification program. Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of commonly used financial/accounting methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, processes and computer systems related to all aspects of financial management program execution. 2. Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources pertinent to installation financial programs/organizations. 3. Knowledge of sources of factual information about and related to processes of financial management, such as that found in accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or related data. 4. Knowledge of automated data processing concepts and systems capabilities to accomplish financial/accounting tasks. 5. Ability to apply advanced analytical methods and techniques to financial/accounting work. 6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare comparative assessments, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve/troubleshoot discrepancies and disconnects. 7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to justify, defend, present, and/or advise on financial/accounting processes/actions and in responding to work related problems and questions dealing with team members, using activities, other Wings, and ALCs, Commanders, HQ AFMC and other DoD organizations.
