Job Description:

Financial Crime QC Senior Analyst

This role is responsible for performing advanced transaction activity reviews, investigations, enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews, and quality control (QC) reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. This role provides guidance, coaching, and training to Financial Crime Review Analysts while serving as a subject matter expert for financial crime investigations, quality expectations, and regulatory compliance. They will be responsible for ensuring reviews and investigations are maintained at a level commensurate with regulatory expectations. This position has minimal/no travel.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform Level 2 investigations, enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews, and quality control reviews of financial crime investigations and case work.
  • Review analyst work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to team members to improve quality and production.
  • Train, mentor, and guide Financial Crime Review Analysts on systems, processes, investigative techniques, and quality expectations.
  • Identify quality trends, process gaps, and non-compliance with BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge (functional and operational) of applicable financial crime regulations, including but not limited to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) requirements.
  • Exceed established quality and production expectations.
  • Assist in the delivery of financial crime consulting services to Financial Services companies, including Banks, Money Service Businesses (MSBs), Third Party Payment Providers, and FinTechs.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial crime compliance, AML investigations, quality control, retail banking, commercial banking, and/or global diversified financial services organizations.
  • Knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Strong research skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online research systems.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing assignments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with teams in different locations.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality.


Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience performing AML investigations, EDD reviews, quality control reviews, and sanctions screening.
  • Experience working with AML software solutions and financial crime technology platforms.
  • Prior financial crime consulting experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish.


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,100.00 - $109,100.00 per year.
