Financial Analyst - JLL
Location: Rosemead, CA (2 days a week on-site)

What this job involves:

JLL's Financial Analyst position offers an exciting opportunity to be a collaborative team member supporting core business analysis and financial metrics for a key account. In this role, you'll serve as a vital contributor to our financial operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate reporting, drive cost-savings initiatives, and identify strategic opportunities through detailed analysis. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Complete and support regular and ad-hoc reporting including informal and formal internal documents, reports, charts and presentations that inform key business decisions. Your responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining team data collection, reporting, and communication processes to ensure information flows efficiently across the organization.
  • Conduct detailed forecast analysis, comparing Budget versus Actual spending and Forecast versus Actual spending, while preparing forecast accuracy reporting that helps leadership make informed decisions. This includes assisting leaders in researching and identifying budget corrections and working collaboratively to implement necessary changes.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly report generation and analysis, maintaining and enhancing existing reporting systems while identifying opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will be essential in spotting tactical and strategic opportunities, gaps, and financial risks through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support the team's efforts to develop efficient reporting strategies, including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving critical data integrity. This involves participating in the development and distribution of best practices, process documentation, and user support materials.
  • Support cost-savings and process improvement initiatives, contributing fresh ideas and analytical rigor to optimize financial operations. Additionally, you'll work on special projects and other functions as required by your manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with team members to share and continuously improve technical skills, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the financial operations group.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related business analysis roles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and financial modeling capabilities
  • Demonstrated financial competency at a detailed operational level with proven ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy with strong problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making skills
  • Strong organization, analytical, and coordination skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills with ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial reporting automation tools or business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics software
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or corporate financial management systems
  • Experience in commercial real estate, property management, or facilities management financial operations
  • Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and variance analysis techniques applicable to corporate or account-level financial management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cost-savings initiatives or process improvement projects with measurable results
  • Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, client services, or business development groups
  • Professional certifications or progress toward CPA, CMA, or similar finance/accounting credentials

Estimated compensation for this position:

80,000.00 - 95,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
