  • Provides training and support on the budgeting process for business units
  • Develops forecast models for revenue and expenses in collaboration with business units
  • Utilizes budgeting software for monitoring departmental budgets
  • Incorporates economic data into financial processes
  • Identifies financial performance trends and makes improvement recommendations
  • Produces key financial reports to aid management decisions
  • Handles ad hoc financial reporting tasks

Full Job Description
Summary:

The Financial Budget Analyst is responsible for analysis and activities to ensure operational effectiveness and integrity of the budgeting and forecasting process. The Analyst assists with the budgeting and forecasting implementation workflow processes.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required
  • Minimum three years related work experience is required.
  • Financial and statistical reporting, design and preparation of financial models experience.
  • Prior experience working with big data and profitability models preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience with Excel macros and power query a plus.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Axiom Planning, Empyrean, or similar budgeting systems preferred


Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports the preparation of the capital and operational budget
  • Responsible for budget and profitability analysis
  • Tracks and reports on capital project budget verse actual spend and obtains feedback from the credit unions organizational units.
  • Produces monthly financial statements and board reporting package.
  • Assists with preparation, distribution and reporting of the budget and forecasting business unit workbooks and reports
  • Assists with business unit training and support involving the budgeting process.
  • Works with business units to develop forecast models for revenue and expenses.
  • Uses budgeting software to track, monitor and continually manage departmental budgets.
  • Responsible for obtaining, reviewing and incorporating economic data into applicable processes.
  • Identifies trends in financial performance and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Produces a variety of key financial reports to support management decisions
  • Ad hoc financial reporting
  • *Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
