Full Job Description
Builds and maintains relationships with participants by delivering personalized financial advice, portfolio management guidance, and an exceptional client experience. As a Vanguard Situational Advisor (VSA) within our Concierge team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how Vanguard serves one of our Enterprise Clients. What You'll Do • Empower Decision-Making: Engage in virtual (both via phone and video calls), one-on-one sessions to provide timely and personalized financial advice, guiding participants through critical moments in their financial lives. • Build Trusting Relationships: Develop deep, meaningful connections with some of our most influential participants, understanding their unique needs and aspirations. • Uncover Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance the financial well-being of our participants, fostering long-term loyalty and satisfaction. Responsibilities • Develops a thorough understanding of each participant's financial situation, goals, risk tolerance, and savings or spending needs to create and deliver suitable investment and financial planning strategies. • Provides situational advice and delivers both verbal and written plans (when needed) to communicate the recommended strategies. • Demonstrates advanced Client Relationship Management (CRM) skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills. • Conducts needs discovery with participants to deepen relationships and identifies opportunities when appropriate for Vanguard products and services. • Support outreach efforts to participants during key moments that matter. • Serves as a subject matter expert on the financial planning, investment, product, service, and regulatory considerations unique to concierge participants, including exclusive offerings and applicable insider trading restrictions, to deliver informed and personalized guidance. • Collaborates with business partners across Workplace Solutions and Personal Wealth to build strong relationships and create seamless transition experiences for participants. • Focuses on professional development by maintaining an in-depth understanding of financial planning, wealth management and the financial services industry. Stays abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive) within the financial services field. • Maintains all required licenses and designations. • Maintains an in-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures. • Continuously identifies process improvement opportunities along with business solutions to better serve emerging executives. • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation required • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65/66 licenses required • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience • Minimum of three years of financial planning and client relationship management experience • Exceptional investment acumen and communication skills • Ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment and help shape new ways of working • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset • Strong organizational and time management skills • Experience supporting complex client relationships preferred • Consultative sales experience preferred Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
