The Senior Finance Manager - Operations serves as the finance business partner for U.S. manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and distribution operations for the Foodservice Systems Americas Business Unit. This role is responsible for driving operational performance through cost management, inventory optimization, working capital improvement, operational analytics, and financial planning.

A critical responsibility of this role is partnering closely with the Plant Controller - Mexico to ensure alignment of manufacturing finance processes, costing, estimation, operational reporting, performance metrics, financial controls, and best practices across the company's North American manufacturing network. This position acts as a key coordinator and facilitator of operational finance activities between the U.S. and Mexico organizations to ensure full alignment in our value stream from operational planning through customer delivery.

Your tasks

Operational Finance Leadership
  • Partner with U.S. operational leadership to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Lead financial support for warehouse, logistics, supply chain, procurement/purchasing, and manufacturing activities in the U.S.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations regarding productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Support operational decision-making through data-driven financial analysis.

Manufacturing Finance Coordination
  • Serve as the primary operational finance liaison with the Plant Controller - Mexico and Global Operations Finance Controller.
  • Coordinate financial planning, reporting, and operational performance analysis across the multi-site manufacturing operations (U.S. and Mexico).
  • Promote consistency in KPI definitions, reporting standards, and financial processes across plants.
  • Facilitate sharing of operational finance best practices between manufacturing locations.
  • Support enterprise-wide manufacturing improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating manufacturing footprint, sourcing, and operational optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate consolidated operational reporting for North American manufacturing activities.

Cost Management & Operational Performance
  • Analyze manufacturing and distribution costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate labor, material, overhead, and logistics cost performance.
  • Develop business cases supporting operational initiatives and investments.
  • Monitor operational KPI performance and recommend corrective actions.

Inventory & Working Capital Management
  • Monitor inventory levels, turns, slow-moving inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to optimize working capital.
  • Support inventory accuracy programs and physical inventory processes.
  • Analyze warehouse and distribution performance metrics.

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead operational budgeting and forecasting activities for U.S. operations, including close coordination with the Plant Controller - Mexico and Global Operations Finance Controller.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify performance drivers.
  • Prepare monthly operating reviews and management presentations.

Capital Investment Support
  • Evaluate capital expenditure requests and business cases.
  • Perform ROI, NPV, and payback analyses.
  • Monitor financial performance of approved capital projects.

Process Improvement & Controls
  • Strengthen financial controls throughout operations.
  • Improve reporting automation and standardization.
  • Support ERP enhancements and operational reporting tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement within operational finance processes.


Requirements

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • 7-10+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Significant experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or operations.
  • Experience working in multi-site manufacturing environments strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Strong manufacturing and operational finance knowledge, including cost accounting.
  • Financial modeling and operational analytics.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience navigating an ERP system and ability to utilize manufacturing data for operational and financial steering.
