Basic ObjectiveThe Finance Manager Consumer Channels will play a critical role, driving financial performance and strategic decision-making, for our consumer-facing business units. This position has responsibility for all financial aspects of Consumer Channels, including Direct to Consumer (Kohler.com, Kohler Stores) and Kohler Home Services. Serve as the Finance partner to the VP & GM - Consumer Channels and the VP & GM - Service Businesses to own the Income Statement and Cash Flow results. Develop, implement, and support strategies which lead to growth in sales, profits, market share, and return on capital employed.
Specific Responsibilities- Financial Ownership: Manage monthly results for Sales, Gross Margin, Indirect Expenses, and Net Margin. Own the Full P&L for these channel segments and drive improved results working through other individuals where needed.
- Advisory Role: Provide straightforward financial advice to management. Analyze and quantify business activities and decisions in financial terms using Kohler Co. methodologies. Train cross-functional team members to grow financial acumen in the organization.
- Collaboration: Work with consumer channel leaders to understand business needs and provide financial guidance. Support decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Financial Planning: Coordinate Financial planning for the channel segment, identifying key drivers for growth and profitability. Participate in strategic and business planning processes to leverage a rolling 18 month forecasting process
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting in accordance with Kohler formats. Maintain comparative data and bridge results when changes occur.
- Staff Development: Mentor and develop finance staff, providing knowledge transfer, coaching, and performance management to train potential finance leaders throughout Kohler Co.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve financial processes using benchmarking and best practices. Enhance quality and productivity of business processes.
- Compliance: Maintain financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, tax, legal, and Kohler Co. requirements. Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliation.
- Integrity: Uphold the highest level of honesty and integrity. Promote these values within the team
Skills/Requirements - A Bachelor of Business Administration degree inAccounting or Finance is a minimum requirement.
- This requirement is coupled with a minimum of at least 5 years ofworking experience.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
