A Snapshot of Your DayThe Finance Manager is responsible for leading the finance function and ensuring accurate, timely, and effective management of financial operations, reporting, budgeting, analysis, and team performance. This role oversees key financial processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, annual budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and yearly bill rate calculations for specified skills. The Finance Manager also provides leadership to a team of approximately 8-10 employees and partners with leaders across the business to support sound financial decision-making and operational efficiency.
How You'll Make an Impact- Lead core finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and annual bill rate calculations.
- Analyze P&L performance, financial trends, risks, opportunities, and budget variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Manage annual budgeting and bill rate processes, ensuring accurate cost assumptions, effective cost recovery, and alignment with profitability goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, engagement, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and continuous development.
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen financial controls, streamline processes, increase automation and efficiency, and support informed business decisions.
- Ensure financial activities are accurate, timely, compliant, and consistently executed, proactively communicating performance, risks, and issues to leadership.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Progressive finance experience with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, P&L and cost analysis, financial reporting, payroll, billing, and rate structures, preferably in a service- or project-based environment.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing finance teams and/or managing cross-functional financial processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP, payroll, billing, or financial reporting systems preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel 10%, as needed.
