POSITION MISSION
The Finance & Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting Bagel Brands' food cost, inventory management, and operational reporting capabilities by serving as the subject matter expert for the Company's Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory management systems. This role owns the integrity of critical business data, reporting, and system administration while partnering across Finance, Supply Chain, Culinary, IT, and Operations to improve decision-making, strengthen inventory controls, and protect restaurant profitability.
Through analytical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement, this role transforms operational and financial data into actionable business insights that support margin improvement, system adoption, and scalable growth across the Bagel Brands portfolio.

Annual Salary: $80,000 to $85,000
Targeted Bonus: 10%

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Financial Analysis & Business Intelligence
• Analyze and report on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory performance, food cost trends, inflation impacts, waste, and margin performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports that provide actionable insights for Finance, Supply Chain, Culinary, and Operations leadership.
• Monitor theoretical versus actual food cost performance, inventory variances, waste trends, and other key operational metrics.
• Investigate cost and revenue variances at the recipe, category, product, and bakery level, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Support financial planning and operational decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
System Administration & Data Management
• Serve as the primary administrator for the Company's food cost and inventory management platform.
• Maintain recipe databases, product builds, ingredient costs, vendor records, order guides, labor scheduling matrices, user accounts, and location profiles.
• Ensure system data remains accurate, complete, and synchronized with Point-of-Sale, accounting, and other integrated business systems.
• Monitor system integrations, troubleshoot data transfer issues, and coordinate issue resolution with IT and external vendors.
• Manage posting calendars and ensure database updates-including seasonal menu changes, Limited Time Offers (LTOs), pricing updates, and ingredient substitutions-are completed accurately and on schedule.
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner with Culinary, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure recipe costing, yields, inventory data, and operational processes accurately reflect business requirements.
• Coordinate system updates supporting menu launches, vendor transitions, pricing changes, and operational initiatives.
• Serve as the primary business liaison between functional teams and system vendors to support ongoing system optimization.
Training, Adoption & User Support
• Develop and maintain training materials, documentation, and user resources supporting food cost and inventory management systems.
• Deliver system training, coaching, and user support to Support Center and field teams to improve adoption and operational effectiveness.
• Provide ongoing functional support, troubleshooting, and guidance to system users across the organization.
• Promote best practices that improve inventory accuracy, reporting consistency, and system utilization.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities, system functionality, data quality, and business processes.
• Support implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous enhancement of new inventory and food cost management technologies.
• Recommend process improvements that strengthen inventory controls, operational efficiency, financial reporting, and decision-making.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience supporting financial analysis, business intelligence, inventory management, or restaurant back-office systems.
• Experience with restaurant back-office platforms such as NCR Back Office, Restaurant365, MICROS, or similar systems.
• Experience supporting multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality organizations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and develop actionable recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience developing reports and dashboards.
• Experience supporting integrated business systems, data management, and system administration.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
• Experience with CrunchTime.
• Experience supporting food cost, inventory management, or restaurant operations.
• Experience participating in enterprise system implementations or large-scale technology deployments.
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or SQL.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use a computer for extended periods throughout the workday. Periodic travel to bakery locations, vendor meetings, or the Support Center may be required. These requirements may be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
