Filtration Separation Specialist -This position provides technical support and training for existing and new filtration/separation rental fleet products to internal and external customers to insure the highest value to the customer and profit to the company. It is a customer facing, sales oriented, project management and support position that coordinates communication between Engineering, Sales, Operations, and the end customer.**This role will serve to cover the state of California**Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily comply with all safety policies, practices, & procedures, report all unsafe activities, and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. - Effectively communicate technical needs to internal/external customers and vendors.
- Provide design recommendations for meeting water quality goals at unique sites utilizing standard Rain for Rent rental equipment and other necessary filtration/treatment products.
- Assist sales personnel to develop and propose solutions to prospects and customers through on-site and online presentations.
- Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, competition, and market trends to create effective sales strategies
- Support in filtration/separation training to sales and operational personnel in classroom and field settings.
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations including, but not limited to, the Clean Water Act, NPDES and other relevant environmental laws.
- Provide reports and insights to management on product performance, enhancements, competition, and industry trends.
- Collect and validate equipment operational parameters to document equipment capabilities. Uses electronic and or mechanical equipment to collect information.
- Work with internal staff to ensure products meet the customers' expectations.
- Evaluate projects to eliminate and avoid risk to all personnel, the company, customer, and environment.
- Participate in project risk reviews with the engineering department.
- Other duties as assigned in support of the operation.
Certifications: ATS (Active Treatment System) not required but a plus.
CPESC® (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control™) not required but a plus.
CPSWQ® (Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality™) not required but a plus
