Job Description

BAE Systems seeks a highly skilled and motivated leader to join our team as a Compass Call Logistics Support and Supply Shift Lead. This critical leadership role is responsible for the operational oversight of the support and supply section functions on 3rd SHIFT. The Shift Lead ensures the effective execution of the Compass Call program by managing personnel, coordinating complex schedules to ensure constant operational coverage, and serving as the primary liaison between Logistics, Support, and Supply leads to synchronize program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct shift (3rd Shift) operations, assigning work tasks to personnel and ensuring all maintenance support and supply objectives are met with precision.
  • Develop, manage and coordinate comprehensive shift schedules with fellow shift leads and section leads, to ensure constant, seamless coverage and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate extensively with Logistics, Support, and Supply Leads to align resources and synchronize efforts across departmental boundaries.
  • Provide expert oversight of tool and equipment management, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Independently develop and implement strategic functions to meet the complex compliance requirements of various government and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee the monitoring and management of equipment inventory, ensuring total accountability and serviceability of all assets.
  • Manage the procurement and lifecycle of government-furnished equipment and serve as the primary point of contact for government audits and inventories.
  • Direct shipping and receiving requirements in coordination with government personnel and external organizations.
  • Supervise the maintenance of local and offsite program inventories, including Component Repair Services Bench Stock.
  • Oversee the initiation, ordering, and tracking of critical supply requisitions and materials.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to hazardous materials and waste regulations across all shift activities.
  • Synthesize operational data to provide high-level status reports for program office briefings, influencing long-range organizational goals.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time

Required Skills and Education

  • Hold an active Secret security clearance
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role, with a demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and arrange activities to meet complex objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialized aircraft maintenance support functions and the practical application of industry standards to resolve complex operational problems.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization as a prime contact for senior internal and external personnel.
  • Comprehensive experience in supply chain management, including advanced inventory control, receiving, and issuing processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing tool control programs and the inspection/maintenance of aircraft tools and test equipment within an Air Force maintenance Support Section or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


Preferred Skills and Education

The following skills and experiences are highly desired:
  • Deep familiarity with the storage, issue, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste products.
  • Advanced experience processing aircraft Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for calibration through Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL).
  • 7 or more years of experience in Compass Call supply systems or similar high-tempo defense environments.
  • Working knowledge of the Integrated Logistics System - Supply (ILS-S).
  • Experience with the Big Safari Inventory System.
  • Advanced working knowledge of TCMax Asset Management Suite.
  • Specialized certification or extensive experience in Hazardous Material shipping.
