The RoleThe Field Services Manager is responsible for coordinating and scheduling new generator installs, decommissions and service calls of company-owned generators located at various job sites. This role ensures generators are delivered on time and all field work is being completed per design and is fit-for-purpose.
The Field Services Manager serves as a key liaison between Operations, Shop Managers, Field Technicians, and vendors to ensure work is completed without disrupting jobsite operations, and installations follow NEC and OSHA requirements.
Job Role and Duties- Manage day-to-day scheduling of all Field Technicians
- Maintain an active schedule of service calls across multiple locations using available data from Salesforce
- Communicate with the Director of Operations, Shop Managers, or Field Generator Technicians to verify maintenance needs and troubleshoot scheduling or access issues
- Collaborate with operations to anticipate needs for new projects, redeployments, or high-demand scenarios
- Adjust schedules quickly in response to operational changes, breakdowns, or urgent field needs
- Support cross-training and backup coverage for Fuel Dispatch operations as needed
Requirements- 3-5 years coordinating or scheduling field service work - dispatch, maintenance planning, or service coordination - in generators, heavy equipment, oil & gas, or industrial rental/service
- 1-2 years managing or supervising field technicians
- 2+ years working in a CRM/field service platform - Salesforce strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA requirements as they apply to temporary power installs
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree a plus
- Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR
Preferred / Bonus:- Direct experience with generator PM intervals and run-hour-based maintenance scheduling
- Familiarity with temporary power, climate control, or tower lighting fleets
