Field Service Engineer

The position is a government site with the location that is within commuting distance of Fort Carson, Colorado. Selected team-mate will work on Fort Carson 5 days a week and 8 hours a day in support of a unit that is equipped a new position, navigation and timing technology. The chosen candidate will be required to work side by side with soldiers and perform system checkouts for the new equipment, as well as requires employee to interact with Army Leaders and Technicians

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to gaining unit requirements pertaining to hardware and weapons/stores maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Screen inoperable components to verify or eliminate faults.

  • Apply technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in fault isolation, identifying malfunction cause, and restoring equipment/system operations.

  • Provide technical support to Army maintainers and operators as needed to increase maintainer and operator competency.

  • Analyze designs, develop, implement, test and/or evaluate major systems, components and associated support systems.

  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

  • Provide support for engineering staff conducting systems requirements analyses, and provide design team input and forkfulanalysis for project engineering related tasks.

  • Support systems integration efforts, configuration management, quality assurance testing or acquisition and resource management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor27s degree from an accredited college or university in aeronautical, electronics, computer science, general engineering, or a closely related field.

  • At least 5 years of project related experience, including 1 year of experience in the development, test, and evaluation of major systems.

  • Must have a valid U.S. passport through 2025 or longer.

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship isrequired to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Army Global Positioning Systems (GPS).

  • Experience with the integration of Global Positioning Systems into other C5ISR Systems.

Compensation Details:

$80 - $85K
