Your responsibilities

The main purpose of this position is to further develop Stäubli's leading market position with efficient sales activities on assigned accounts and markets. You will be responsible for developing the sales pipeline in selected focus markets and your territory. For this we are looking at a self-driven, highly motivated and well-organized sales engineer with a track record of building trust- based customer relationships and networks.

For your assigned market/territory you are responsible for:
  • Relationship & Lead Management
  • Create new accounts and achieve market leadership
  • Be highly present at network events, prospects and customers (also digitally).
  • Build and maintain close relationships with existing key accounts
  • Identify, win and maintain key-accounts in your assigned market and align on the Sales activities in them.
  • Support campaigns and proactive identification of sales-marketing opportunities, including relationship management, and other marketing activities like exhibitions and social media
  • Proactive identification of customer needs, market developments and received competitor information.


Request for Information & Quote Management:
  • Understand customer's applications and requirements. Introduce our solutions to address the needs of the customer.
  • Evaluate the customers' need, our value proposition and business case. Ability to sell value.
  • Responsible for the selection of profitable opportunities and their negotiation.
  • Responsible for all communication to and data about the customer
  • Consult the prospects and customers and concisely transfer the customer needs and specifications internally (hand-over quality)


Closing Orders:
  • Follow-up on open Quotes and close the opportunities with your accounts.
  • Negotiate general contracts and other customer agreements like yearly agreements, forecasting, T&C for Key Accounts


Minimum of 50% travel required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:
  • Possess excellent communication skills for building relationships with new contacts and strengthening relationships with existing contacts in person, as well as remotely.
  • Be a role model and team player regarding internal collaboration by supporting peers and fostering a constructive, customer oriented and efficient collaboration.
  • Be a self-starter, well organized and work under limited supervision.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand the challenges customers face with their technical solution approaches. High business acumen for the commercial challenges is a plus.
  • Have a good command of Office365 and CRM systems. Familiarity with engineering tools, e.g. AutoCAD, a plus.
  • Have an affinity for automation and digital solutions.


Education and/or Experience
  • BSEE or BSME required.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful field sales or business development experience.
  • 5+ years in electrical machine integration, with industrial connectors a plus
  • Proven track record in selling electrical components to OEMs and Integrators for electrification and automation.
  • Industry experience with high-end electrical connectors a plus.
