Full Job Description
What You'll Be Doing

As a Compact Construction Equipment Territory Manager, you'll take the lead in building and managing long-term customer relationships while driving sales of new and used equipment. The territory covered would include Orange and San Diego Counties. This is a field-based role focused on growing your territory and maximizing gross margin through strong, consultative selling. You'll represent a full line of compact equipment and services, working closely with external customers to understand their needs and deliver the right solutions. Success in this role requires confidence in trailering, operating, and demonstrating equipment, along with the drive to grow your customer base and make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide robust customer service with a positive, professional attitude to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and effective follow-up
  • Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Adapt communication style to suit different customer types and situations
  • Learn and present financing options confidently to assist customers
  • Continuously improve knowledge of all equipment sold by the dealership
  • Stay current with industry trends and customer needs
  • Collaborate with management to forecast annual sales and work toward revenue growth goals


Qualifications

Skills / Experience

  • Flexible schedule; willing to work extended hours, including Saturdays, to maximize sales

Preferred
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Experience in the Construction Industry
  • Comfortable with mechanical issues
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Understanding of John Deere (or equivalent) equipment, vehicles, and implements

Compensation structure: salary base and commission. Salary is based on skill level, experience, and knowledge.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent life education

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, and hear
  • Use of hands for computer and phone use
  • Close vision required for reading
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, or reach as needed

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
