YOU HAVE- Provide field engineering support for the design, review, evaluation, construction, maintenance, programming, and operations of electric heat tracing circuits
- Ensure that EHT design and construction work at site complies with client standards, legislated requirements, and applicable industrial standards.
- Evaluate existing EHT designs and provide improvement recommendations.
- Conduct technical design assessments, constructability reviews, and field installation reliability appraisals for supplemental heat management systems.
- Proactively establish customer and contractor relationships at appropriate levels and manage client expectations relative to technical execution methodologies, scope, schedule, progress, and technical change management.
- Create Construction Work Packages (CWP's), complete with all applicable content such as Bill Of Materials (BOM's).
- Provide technical assistance to the owners' technical and maintenance staff.
- Assisting with change management and cost analysis with designated project management team.
Site Location and Work Shift:
- Redwater, Alberta - Site Based Position:4-10's or 5-8's at Customer facility
- Fort McMurray: 4-10's (Mon to Thursday, 10 hours per day), 5 - 8's (Mon to Friday, 8 hours per day) or 7 days on/ 7 days off.
- Edmonton Home Office: 4 - 9's (Mon to Thursday, 9 hours per day), 1 - 4's (Friday, 4 hours per day).
WHAT YOU BRING- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with Electrical Engineering or a construction-focused engineering background preferred.
- 4+ years of engineering experience, preferably in project engineering, field engineering, industrial construction, or a related environment.
- Experience supporting projects within the petrochemical, energy, or industrial sectors; knowledge of electric heat tracing systems and technologies is an asset.
- Working knowledge of engineering, construction, maintenance, and/or operations within petrochemical facilities or industrial sites.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering and field activities, troubleshoot issues, and work effectively with customers, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information, and build effective working relationships.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with project reporting and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer, construction, and project sites as required.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires compliance with applicable company health, safety, and fitness-for-duty requirements.
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)/ CSTS Certification
