PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in a consultative fashion with VP - Field and Distributor Operations and others in management team to develop plans to ensure that Subaru of America (SOA) meets its annual vehicle sales target. Maintains responsibility for communicating with stakeholders in Regional, Zone, Distributor, District, and retailer sales and ensuring that this communication is clear and understood.
  • Plans and implements a well-run, educational, and engaging National Training Conference (NTC) each January. This conference takes place over multiple days with numerous activities for hundreds of Subaru employees and is integral in conveying important company information. Works closely with Travel Department as well as numerous other departments to formulate seminars and other events.
  • Serves as primary liaison between Field and Corporate staff. Acts as a trusted point of contact for sales-related questions and information; must be responsive and have effective communication skills as well as substantial knowledge of Subaru sales.
  • Manages the end-to-end planning and execution of sales and business review meetings, including monthly Executive Management reviews, Executive Management Committee (EMC) presentations, and National Retailer Advisory Board (NRAB) meetings. Coordinates cross-functional inputs, develops executive presentations and reporting, and ensures that leadership stakeholders are aligned on business performance, forecasts, priorities, and action plans.
  • Manages the District Sales Manager (DSM) Bonus Program and provides updates to the Field staff. Adjusts program as needed to ensure maximum DSM performance within budget guidelines.
  • Leads and manages various projects as needed, e.g., Subaru Service Loaner Program (SSLP), contact report system, target system, and other Information Technology (IT) projects from Sales Department.
  • Directs, develops, and evaluates Management Associates as they rotate through the Sales Department.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates estimates and monthly tempo targets and sales calendar.
  • Serves as SOA's NRAB liaison.
  • Hires and manages two (2) interns annually for their one-year term at SOA.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • At least 8-10 years required
  • Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact efficiently (including giving presentations, meetings, e-mail, phone) with personnel throughout the organization, including executive staff.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage several issues at once.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships, even when dealing with negative issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required and 8 to 10 years' experience required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)
  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
  • Required Travel: 15% Domestic travel required


COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $118,200-$155,000/ year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2)
