Full Job Description
The Field Equipment Manager coordinates Galvion's Equipment Operations function and is responsible for the Global Kit Room network. Serving as the organization's equipment logistician, this role ensures all customer-facing equipment is mission-ready, accountable, and available to support Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Product, Customer Support, Techincal Demonstrations, Product Evaluations, Training activities, and Trade shows.
Working across the organization, the Field Equipment Manager establishes, standardizes and maintains equipment operations, including inventory management, reservations, deployment, logistics, maintenance, refurbishment, and lifecycle management. This position provides a single point of ownership for outward-facing equipment to enable the cross-functional teams to focus on customer engagement rather than equipment coordination.
The Field Equipment Manager will develop scalable processes, integreate with current software systems, and provide reporting that maximizes equipment utilization, improve operational readiness, and protect Galvion's investment in demonstration and evaluation assets. The role will also support fielding and tracking of prototype assets, new product introductions, and strategic customer engagements by ensuring equipment is properly configured and available
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the global Kit Room network, including the Main Kit Room (Portsmouth, NH) and Regional Kit Rooms (Montreal and Gdansk).
• Own the lifecycle of demonstration, evaluation, trade show and training equipment from acquisition through deployment, recovery, refurbishment and retirement.
• Maintain a single source of truth for equipment inventory, reservations, location, status and utilization.
• Coordinate equipment allocation across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Product & Engineering and Customer Support.
• Prepare, configure, inspect and package equipment for customer engagements and strategic events.
• Coordinate with the Compliance, Shipping and Logistics team for domestic and international shipping and returns, ensuring compliance with global import and export trade restrictions
• Develop scalable Equipment Operations processes, SOPs and reporting.
• Track equipment readiness, utilization and lifecycle metrics and provide recommendations to leadership on how much equipment is required to fulfill all needs
• Partner with Product & Engineering to support prototype evaluations and customer feedback activities.
• Protect Galvion's investment through disciplined equipment accountability and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Military Studies, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in equipment operations, logistics, field support, product support, military sustainment, or a related operational discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing high-value equipment and physical assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience supporting customer demonstrations, evaluations, trade shows, technical events, or field deployments.
• Experience implementing or managing inventory, asset management, ERP, or reservation systems.
• Experience developing operational procedures, standard work, and process improvements.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams supporting engineering, commercial, and operational organizations.
• Experience within the defense, aerospace, tactical, or government sectors.
• Military logistics, quartermaster, sustainment, or equipment management experience.
• Experience supporting integrated hardware systems or technology-based products.
• Experience establishing or leading an equipment operations or demonstration asset management function.
• Ability to work independently on assigned scope

• Office base environment.
• Approximately 20% travel between US and Canadian work sites (Newport, VT-Montreal, CA- Marlborough, MA) and Customer sites. Will include travel overseas.
