MMR Field Engineer - based in Vernon, TX
Location: Vernon, TX
Pay: $42-$48/hour based on experience
Per Diem: $150/day paid for days worked
Work Schedule: 6/10sJob Description: MMR is seeking Field Engineer candidates to support field installation activities by conducting walkdowns, verifying layouts, resolving constructability issues, assisting with inspections, maintaining as-built documentation, and providing accurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:
- Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors.
- Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying.
- Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.
- Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality
- inspections.
- Maintain as-built documentation.
- Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman.
- Coordinate directly with foremen and supervisors.
- Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting.
- Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management
Required Skills and Qualifications: - BS in Construction Management or related field
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
