Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years experience as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator, preferably in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment, drawing specifications, and building materials.
• Proficiency in construction-related software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD, SAP).
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in both field and office settings.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to confirm material and equipment availability for production.
• Collect and analyze shop drawings, specifications, and project data for compliance.
• Provide technical input for project planning and identify risks that may impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluate daily project performance and document activities using approved methods.
• Notify management of schedule changes and suggest possible solutions.
• Manage project financials by controlling costs and reporting accurately.
• Review project specifications for quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with crews to plan site layout, ensuring utility lines are marked before production begins.
• Coordinate subcontractor methods and schedules as necessary.
• Reconcile job close-out checklist with owner representatives and field crews.
