Our team in Vancouver is growing. We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Field E&I Engineer, to join our team in the Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto office. This is a field position, at a Northern BC mine-site on a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation with 2 site travel days. The successful candidate will join an EPCM site team, overseeing the green-field construction of a mining processing facility.
About the role - Promote compliance with quality controls during the execution of construction works.
- Review daily reports, contribute to weekly and monthly reports on the physical progress of electrical and instrumentation discipline activities.
- Carry out the review and validation of specific work procedures.
- Review contractor's progress, quantity validations, and track performance against contractual obligations
- Validate change notices, LEMs, and scope variances
- Review Contractor's schedules, resourcing against project baseline and implement mitigation measures as needed
- Answer RFIs from Contractors, and coordinate with Vancouver Engineering team and vendors for clarification where required.
- Ensure IFC drawings, details, and vendor information are packaged for contractors in advance of work commencing.
About you - Electrical, Electronics Engineer with P.Eng. from EGBC or APEGA
- 5 - 9 years of experience in Mineral Process Plants or Oil/Gas Process Plant Construction
- Pragmatic approach to Engineering with a big-picture mindset
- Agile approach to solutions and ability to de-bottleneck work for contractors
- Experience working within a design team will be considered an asset
- A team-first attitude, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for the project
- Available for regular site work

Salary range: $100,000-$125,000
10% site uplift will be included on top of base salary while on site rotation.
