Job Description

Field Area Managers oversee industrial water treatment systems in a specific region for a company.
They lead a team of Field Service Employees to ensure they meet targets and objectives.
This role involves project leadership, people management, customer interaction, and technical skills to
help grow our services operations.

Key Characteristics
• Technically proficient in understanding and addressing issues that affect our Ultrapure Water System.
• Provides leadership and ensures the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality for the site teams.
• Lead and motivate Field Service Representatives, encouraging collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Focused on achieving the contractually required quantity and quality of water.
• Involved in the recruitment and professional development of Field Service Employees within the designated geographic area and contracts portfolio.
• Responsible for tracking operational metrics, including system performance, employee utilization, overtime, and operational costs.
• Assist in establishing robust connections with our clientele.
• Client interaction and contract analysis
• Collaborate with commercial leaders to develop and expand the business.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervises 10 to 15 employees within a region to ensure proper scheduling and utilization.
• Collaborate with CAPEX project managers to maintain clear communication for smooth and efficient operations
• Management of small projects, including Mobile Water Systems and Refurbishments.
• Review and edit engineering drawings & P&IDs
• Understanding of instrument controls
• Implementing changes to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure stakeholders are updated on modifications to the project and contract timeline, as well as scheduling.
• Anticipate potential issues, such as outages, technical difficulties, and additional customer needs, and make necessary adjustments accordingly.
• Scheduling field service personnel and coordinating with territory managers to allocate equipment and purchase materials. Estimating time, cost, and resource needs for each task.
• Administers policies in EHS, Human Resources, and Fleet.
• Assists in the career development and growth of Field Service Representatives
• Utilizes data analysis and reporting to monitor contract performance.
• Develop contract budgets and financial forecasts
• Manages operational and maintenance risks, escalates critical issues when needed
• Reports project progress, staff utilization, and contract spend versus budget to leadership.
• Administration of Preventative Maintenance programs across various project lines and customer accounts, recording corrective maintenance actions.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

• A thorough understanding of industrial maintenance activities, including permitting.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Education & Experience Required:
• BS degree in a technical field - for example Chemistry, or Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, OR five years' experience and relevant leadership experience in industrial water, wastewater, or food &beverage water treatment solutions or related field
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card

Preferred Education & Experience:
• Certification in Project Management; Active training in Project Management coursework Six Sigma
• Root Cause Analysis training
• Wastewater License
• Certifications or Advanced degrees in Mechanical or Electrical
• Certifications or experience in Leadership
• Experience in water plant operations or maintenance
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response
• Estimated Travel 50% (local road warrior)
