Visionary Broadband seeks a qualified individual to fill the role of Fiber Construction Coordinator. This full-time position will join the team at Visionary Broadband, one of the top internet service providers in the Rocky Mountain region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage fiber optic construction projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Maintain a strong on-site presence to directly oversee daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time direction to field crews.
- Manage pre-determined project plans, schedules coordinating closely with project management and field teams.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring field crews and subcontractors are aligned with project goals.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety standards, quality expectations, and industry regulations.
- Conduct frequent site visits to verify work progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and uphold quality control standards.
- Monitor materials, equipment, and resources on-site to maintain project efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Act as the primary point of contact between field operations and stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing updates.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, photos.
- Ensure that invoiced amounts accurately reflect on-site progress and completed work.
- Survey fiber backbone or zone using GPS to accurately document the location of our fiber infrastructure, whether underground or aerial.
- Make real-time design adjustments in the field as needed during on-site operations.
- Perform pre & post construction walkthroughs with local utilities and assigned contractors.
Qualifications- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within proprietary computer applications.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard 8am-5pm Monday-Friday schedule, this could include occasional weekend work.
