Federal Project Manager - Construction (OKC)

$80,000-$120,000

Job Opening: Federal Project Manager - Construction OKC

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Operations Manager
Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain federal security clearance (if required by project)

Position Overview

The Federal Project Manager (Construction) will oversee all aspects of assigned federal construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing U.S. government construction contracts, ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of federal construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with federal contracting officers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure full compliance with all contract documents, FAR, DFARS, and applicable federal labor and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review project schedules (CPM), submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Oversee cost control, risk management, and progress reporting.
  • Manage LEAN construction principles
  • Lead project meetings and provide timely communication on project status to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with quality control, safety, and field teams to ensure project excellence.
  • Manage project closeout, including as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
  • Some traveling may be required.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience managing federal or military construction projects.
  • Proven knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting requirements.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to obtain federal security clearance if required.
  • Must be able to pass background check and 9 panel drug screen.

Preferred:
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED AP.
  • Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, or VA projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification.
