Full Job Description
This position requires extended assignment(s) in Germany and may involve residing in Germany for prolonged periods in support of a federal client project with an anticipated duration of approximately two years.

Role Summary

SSR is seeking a Federal Cx Senior Field Agent to lead commissioning efforts for complex facility projects, primarily focused on mechanical systems. This role combines hands-on field commissioning, project management, client coordination, and mentorship of commissioning team members to ensure systems perform as designed and meet owner expectations.

What You'll Do

Lead commissioning activities to verify building systems operate as intended throughout design, construction, and turnover.
  • Review equipment submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design intent, owner requirements, and functional testing objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct inspections, pre-functional checklists, functional performance testing, seasonal testing, and warranty reviews.
  • Validate training plans and documentation prepared by contractors and project teams.
  • Maintain commissioning logs, deficiency lists, maintenance documentation, and project records.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare progress reports and communicate project status, risks, and resolutions.
  • Manage commissioning schedules, staffing requirements, and project execution during construction phases.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal commissioning team planning sessions.
  • Perform retro-commissioning and diagnostic investigations when required.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of Cx Field Agents.

Who We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ten or more years of applicable experience in commissioning projects; healthcare facility experience is highly beneficial OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with five years of applicable experience
  • Must either hold a current Commissioning Authority (CxA) Certification or obtain it within the first three months of employment.
  • Will be expected to apply and maintain a work VISA with company support

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems, controls, and commissioning methodologies.
  • Experience interpreting engineering design documents and construction specifications.
  • Project management experience on federal, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and lead field activities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including assignments in Germany.
