Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems engineering experience specifically with telecom satellites, particularly in digital payloads.
• Experience with one or more subsystems like Communication Payload, Flight Software (FSW), Command & Data Handling (C&DH), Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR), and Satellite Operations.
• Proven ability to coordinate payload-related satellite tests during Assembly, Integration & Testing (AI&T).
• Experience working through phases B/C/D/E of space programs.
• Ownership and production of Mechanical and Electrical Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills essential for cross-team collaboration.
• Willingness to work on-site in Montreal for at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces and interactions between Payload and the Satellite at system level.
• Engage in daily collaboration with various teams including Payload, Command & Data Handling (C&DH), On-board Data Handling (OBDH), Satellite Operations, Flight Software (FSW), and Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR).
• Create and maintain all Interface Control Documents (ICDs) pertaining to the satellite system.
• Oversee testing activities related to the Payload during the AI&T phases.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment among cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage satellite interface requirements and configurations during the satellite's operational phases.
