The Senior Laboratory Instructor is responsible for nursing instruction in clinical venues; group teaching in tutorials, labs, seminars, and workshops; contributing to classroom and online teaching and student assessment; and participating in curriculum and course development. The opportunity to instruct theorybased courses is possible for qualified candidates with subject matter expertise. The Senior Laboratory Instructor is expected to engage in continuing professional development and scholarly activities, along with service to the University, the community, and the profession. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach in multiple modalities (in-person, online, and hybrid course delivery are all used by the School of Nursing) to develop and maintain up-to-date teaching infrastructure and organize practica in partnership with clinical placement teams.

The successful applicant for the position holds licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Practice experience in primary care, team-based settings, rural/remote, northern, and/or Indigenous community settings and experience teaching using synchronous and asynchronous online modalities as well as modalities suited to face-to-face learning is a distinct asset. A teaching and practice philosophy that reflects values of equity, social justice, and teambased care and that is demonstrated through action and high-level communication skills is essential. Travel to other campuses and northern communities may be necessary, and a valid BC driver's license is required. The successful applicant is expected to engage in continuing professional development along with service to the University, community, and profession.

Salary
The salary for this position will be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant qualifications and experience as per the UNBC Faculty Association Collective Agreement. The annual salary range for this position is expected to be from $ 90,678 to $131,496.
