Full Job Description
Pay & Benefits: Tepeyac offers a full compensation package to all full-time employees. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, a flexible spending account, a 401k, disability insurance paid for by Tepeyac, twelve paid holidays in 2026, approximately four weeks of paid time off each year, and over one week of sick leave annually.; these benefits will be prorated based on FTE. Licensed providers receive time off and reimbursement for CME and reimbursement for the Colorado licensing renewal fee.

The salary range for this position is $212,367 - $235,000annually, depending on years of experience and years of licensure.

JOB SUMMARY: The qualified Family Medicine Physician will provide high-quality care in the full scope of primary care services, including prenatal care, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to patients. The Family Medicine Physician will be an integral part of the care team and work collaboratively with all patients and staff. The ideal candidate will take initiative, have a passion to advocate and to provide healthcare to the underserved.

A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Licensure:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine


  • Must have successfully completed a residency in Family Medicine


  • Valid license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado


  • Valid unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration


Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year Family Practice experience required. Must have knowledge and experience in working with both acute and chronically ill patients


  • Prenatal experience required
  • Experience in developmental medicine/interest in serving the disability community preferred


Language: Oral and written fluency in English and oral proficiency in medical Spanish required (fluency preferred).

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examine diagnoses and treat patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses.
  • Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns, and provide comprehensive health for the entire family, including preventive medicine, behavioral health, and community health.
  • Prepare and document thorough medical histories.
  • Examine patients, formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, and order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan, and provide advice on follow up.
  • Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and therapies.
  • Perform outpatient procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services as needed.
  • Complete all documentation, paperwork, and daily clinical tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
  • Assist in the revision of clinical practice guidelines and Scope of Practice when needed by bringing outdated practice protocols to the attention of the Chief Health Officer.
  • Provide responsive off-hours medical services physically or by phone when the clinic is closed, if applicable.
  • Support and teach team members at the site. Teach students enrolled in a relevant health profession training program.
  • Maintain professional growth by actively seeking educational opportunities and staying current with updated guidelines.
  • Take necessary and appropriate actions in emergency situations.
  • Participate in the training, mentoring, and/or clinical education of new employees, colleagues, and students. May supervise new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Perform other clinical/administrative duties as directed.
  • Attend and participate in required internal meetings and/or trainings.
