Full Job Description
Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished Full-time Primary Care Physician (FM) to join our team in Southampton, NY. The Primary Care Physician is responsible for managing a diverse patient panel with multiple co-morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advance practice providers, on-site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.

Salary Range: $237,182.40 - $269,755.20/ year

Essential duties and responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
  • Participate in in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
  • Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
  • Complete and participate in chart review process.
  • Referral and follow-up of patients when needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
  • Clinical Supervision: Overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior.
  • Educational Support: Facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of the mentees.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress.
  • Patient Care: Ensuring high-quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday - 40 hours per week with one evening shift per week (2 hour later start and end) and one Saturday per month.

8 clinical hours per day with a one hour lunch break

On call twice a year - one week every 6 months.
