Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population, including infants, children, adults, and elderly patients.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, both independently and in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Perform routine physical exams, wellness check-ups, immunizations, preventive screenings, and health education.
  • Manage and follow up on patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system - EPIC.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management, and preventive care
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote wellness and preventive healthcare.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as a family medicine Provider
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine (or equivalent).
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Minnesota.
  • CPR and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting, preferably in a rural or underserved community, is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in an unpredictable, resource-constrained setting.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with rural healthcare challenges and resource limitations.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. EPIC experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of telemedicine practices and technologies.
