Job Description

This is an on-site role requiring candidates to be local to the Pittsburgh, PA area.

This position primarily supports our Tarentum and Ross Township, Pennsylvania offices. The selected candidate must be able to work onsite and travel between multiple work locations within the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead facilities and operational data center projects from planning through completion and is able to proactively identify, communicate and solve problems; and set projects goals based on broad objectives assigned by internal management.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, scopes of work, and budgets
  • Oversee project execution, track milestones, manage change orders, and mitigate risks
  • Coordinate all required resources necessary for successfully executing facility and data center projects, providing prioritization of work with employees and subcontractors.
  • Meet with the facilities group to discuss project plans, deadlines, issues and new work; set priorities and balance resources across project and ensure back-up and succession plans are in place; use metrics to evaluate the productivity of work group; responsible for resource allocation for existing work and new initiatives.
  • Communicate and coordinate tasks across the facilities group; interact and participate in calls and meetings for assigned projects and new initiatives; set up and lead meetings and discussions; document and communicate issues and achievements for assigned projects; escalate issues requiring senior level attention to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, budget reports, and post-project documentation to leadership
  • Set standard operating procedures and ensure the facilities group is using standard operating procedures and documentation.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum eight years relevant experience, with demonstrated abilities in project planning and project management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting company owned facilities and/or data centers spaces, in addition to corporate offices
  • Knowledge of building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators and other systems associated with facilities and mission critical data centers
  • Experience forecasting project budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Experience managing vendor sourcing and contract administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Developed project management skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral including the ability to converse about technical and maintenance issues
  • Effective time management skills
  • Knowledge of the following disciplines: plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and fire codes (NFPA)
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • PMP, FMP, or CFM certification a plus
