UNIT DESCRIPTION
The Planning and Project Management Unit (PPMU) plans and executes professional and responsive facilities support services including: engineering and design; construction; master planning, space planning and real property management; and incorporates environmental, energy and sustainability facility improvements for FBI tenant customers and stakeholders at several FBI-owned offsite locations
KEY REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of walking, standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching and a recurring need to lift moderately heavy items.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed mostly in an office setting, however, may be required to work in the presence of moving parts, carts, machines, high electrical voltage, mechanical rooms and construction work sites.
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Analyzes complex facility and construction issues, develops solutions, and briefs management, customers, and stakeholders to obtain concurrence and support.
  • Plans and coordinates multidisciplinary project teams for facility renovation, repair, and construction projects.
  • Supports Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects from requirements development through construction and closeout, including SOWs, cost estimates, design reviews, RFIs, submittals, and contractor coordination.
  • Monitors project scope, cost, schedule, quality, and contractor performance; identifies risks and coordinates corrective actions.
  • Serves as COR for assigned construction, renovation, and service contracts and maintains required FAC-COR Level II certification.
  • Coordinates project logistics, FF&E, data/AV requirements, swing space, turnover, warranty inspections, and final project closeout.
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination with customers, contractors, technical personnel, contracting staff, and other stakeholders

Specialized Experience (SE)
GS-13 Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Experience managing or supporting facility renovation, repair, construction, and/or facility operations projects.
  • Ability to analyze facility requirements, construction documents, cost estimates, schedules, and contractor performance.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and resolve project issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to brief management and effectively coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
