Job Summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is rapidly scaling and adding a Facilities Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and reliable operation of all physical infrastructure within our site. This role ensures that the facility, equipment, utilities, and grounds support uninterrupted production while meeting regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, including building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection, etc.).
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance technicians, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems operate in compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, local building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with EHS teams to support safety initiatives, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Lead emergency preparedness planning, including evacuation procedures, fire drills, and incident response.
  • Manage hazardous waste storage, disposal, and environmental reporting as required.
  • Plan and execute facility upgrades, expansions, and capital improvement projects.
  • Coordinate construction, installation, and commissioning activities with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including maintenance, utilities, and capital expenditures.
  • Negotiate contracts for facility services, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure service-level expectations are met.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of facilities or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial equipment, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, contractors, and cross-functional projects.


Preferred (Not Required)
  • Certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or OSHA 30.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality management systems.
