WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Manages the maintenance (facilities and equipment) for multiple automated pick-pack and shipping operations located in multiple geographic regions in support of multiple Contract Logistics customers (accounts). Provides leadership, development and support of multiple hourly technicians and group leads. Manages responsibilities tied to high performance automation equipment.
- Defines and manages the staffing requirements, hire, develop and retain staff of maintenance technicians/group leads in each site responsible for.
- Develop preventative maintenance actions and schedules in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.
- Ensure equipment and facility support systems are maintained in operation as required to support business operations in accordance with company and customer SLA's.
- Track all work performed and spare parts utilized using appropriate tool and systems in order to maintain proper staffing and spare parts inventories.
- Act as liaison to corporate facilities groups and serve as primary point of contact to facility landlord('s)
- Maintain log/database of all Service contractors for any and all supported equipment and/or systems (I.e, automation, powered industrial trucks, generators, HVAC, etc.)
- Provides design specs for power needs on all facility and MHE hardware by site.
- Aligns contractors on PLC logic issues and collaborates on design solutions.
- Communicates with/to daily and/or as required to advise on issues that may impact site operations and to accept ad hoc requests for facility/equipment changes.
- Works with Engineering team on project layouts and process upgrades, manages air, electrical and mechanical resources as needed.
- Primary oversight on service contract administration, quote requests, spare parts inventory, staffing slaries/wages, etc.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Education & Qualifications:
- Deep Knowledge of/experience in facilities engineering principles and practices.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, related field or 7 years equivalent.
- 3-5 years in Logistics/Distributions environment.
- PMP Certification Desired
Skills:
- The knowledge, experience and skills required to undertake the level at a fully competent level.
- Lean Operations, Kaizen, 5S; data mining and analysis; project management.
- Able to interact with all levels of operations, engineering, and management effectively.
- Has extensive conveyor equipment background, that includes PLC logic, mechanical and electrical. Also has a knowledgeable background with robotic equipment.
