Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage preventative maintenance schedules based on manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain an accurate database of work orders and equipment repair requests.
  • Recommend operational changes to enhance efficiency and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Full Job Description

Work Location: 6635 Kirkville Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057

Performs advanced electrical installations, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repair including preventative maintenance duties with no supervision.  Ability to read blue prints and schematics while trouble shooting and complex issues, maintain database for equipment and systems records and respond to work order request.  Works with minimal or no supervision.

Duties:

  • Support the installation/modification of the equipment and systems following manufacturers specifications and established testing procedures to ensure proper working order.

  • Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action.

  • Company liaison with equipment suppliers.

  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules as per equipment manufacturers specifications and systems to include periodic inspections.

  • Maintains database regarding work orders and equipment repair requests.

  • Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations. Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding & installation of low/high voltage electrical plant systems. Advanced maintenance knowledge of HVAC, plant air systems & facility equipment.

  • Must be able to read, interpret, and communicate company policies and procedures to others.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and service providers.

  • Must be able to operate advanced test equipment.

  • Capable of performing complex electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repair and maintenance duties.

  • Ability to trouble shoot and fix complex problems associated with above skill sets

  • Ability to plan a project and complete projects in timely manner.

  • Ability to train others.

  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift heavy material on a regular basis.

  • Advanced math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics.

  • Advanced computer skills.

Education/Experience:

Associate Degree or Trade School, HVAC Certification, Electrical Journeyman level or equivalent

6-8 years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, quality and safety background.  Manufacturing facility experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$68,442 - $114,070

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of  Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
