Job Description

Position Summary:The Facilities Engineer will support the design, operation, and optimization of upstream oil and gas facilities, including tank batteries, gathering systems, compression, and processing infrastructure. This role works closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting production targets. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and support continuous operations.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the design, operation, and optimization of upstream facilities, including tank batteries, gathering systems, compression, and processing infrastructure
  • Develop and preform hydraulic analysis of flow lines and pipeline networks
  • Monitor facility performance, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, uptime, and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and develop practical engineering solutions to support safe and continuous operations
  • Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to support field activities and resolve operational challenges
  • Support modifications, debottlenecking efforts, and facility upgrades to improve performance and reduce operating costs
  • Review and analyze equipment data, equipment trends, and KPIs to drive optimization initiatives
  • Ensure facilities operate in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with project execution, including scope development, cost estimates, and oversight of capital projects
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews to support safe facility design and operations
  • Maintain a strong commitment to HSSE and promote a culture of safety in all activities


Qualifications

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related discipline) required

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in upstream facilities, production engineering, or operations support within oil and gas
  • Experience with natural gas systems, gathering, compression, or gas processing and treating facilities preferred
  • Experience supporting field operations and working directly with operations teams is a strong plus


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of upstream facility equipment, including compression, separation, dehydration, and pipeline systems
  • Ability to analyze production and operational data to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations (API, ASME, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, field-oriented, "Can Do" mindset
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
