Responsibilities

  • Lead small projects from initiation to completion

  • Lead investigations into incidents affecting downtime and safety

Compensation

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Overtime up to 50 hours per week is approved; anything over 50 hours requires additional approval.

Scope
The Facilities Engineer / Specialist III will provide brownfield facilities engineering, operational support, and surveillance for existing assets.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead individual small projects through completion.
  • Debottleneck facilities and production batteries to accommodate new production volumes.
  • Resolve potential safety and risk hazards through engineering actions.
  • Minimize existing-asset downtime and optimize production.
  • Participate in area risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and Critical Operating Parameter reviews.
  • Lead incident investigations involving downtime and process-safety events.
  • Support opportunity management, including identifying opportunities and developing project scopes of work.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new facility projects and existing facilities.
  • Drive closure of risk-mitigation action items.
  • Lead performance testing and plant-based trials.
  • Develop operating guidelines for facilities.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or another related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety criteria.
  • Demonstrated brownfield facilities engineering and operations-support experience.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, engage cross-functional teams, and drive work forward to meet deadlines and business objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, particularly for technical and business communications.
