  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in production processes
  • Enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in daily operations

Full Job Description
Pay Range: $81,000 - $112,000

Shift (Friday-Monday)

Key Obsessions:
  • Lead Fabrication team
    • Hire, coach, mentor, and engage Fabrication Supervisors and their teams to perform at the highest level.
    • Relentlessly promote Aagard culture.
    • Ensure team readiness and expertise through the implementation of relevant training and development opportunities.
    • Ensure safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Own Fabrication performance metrics
    • Establish and monitor department's performance to metrics and proactively implement corrective action.
    • Ensure adherence to schedules and timely completion of machine units.
    • Maintain quality standards that meet documented requirements.
    • Continuously monitor and improve production efficiencies.
  • Proactively lead process improvements
    • Collaborate with the continuous improvement team to identify, communicate, and execute improvement projects.
    • Recommend and incorporate manufacturing methods to increase productivity.
    • Drive cost reductions in areas such as tooling, scrap, and maintenance/repairs.
    • Monitor team performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of manufacturing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably within fabrication
  • Skilled in interviewing, performance management, and coaching
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
  • Ability to view and understand CAD drawings and use of Aagard software
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Confidence and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing, including presentation skills
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. using two-person assist as needed.
  • Ability to travel as required
